Tree Seedling and Perennials Spring Sale, Lancaster,PA

By
Real Estate Agent with KW Elite

One of my favorite things to do each Spring is to purchase dozens of tree seedlings and wholesale perennials and replant different areas of our community. It is so important for our future and is really rewarding to revisit your previous efforts. This Spring Lancaster Co. Conservation District is conducting its 38th Annual Tree Seedling Sale. An order form on their website describes all the available species and pricing. Pickup date is on April 12th at the Farm & Home Center, 1388 Arcadia Rd.,Lancaster. Hardwood tree seedlings sell for as little as $1.25 per tree and the conifers sell in bundles at about .70 cents per seedling ! Additionally it appears perennials are under $3 !

Orders are being taken now through March 12th. To get an order form call 717-299-5361,ext.5 or visit their website - www.lancasterconservation.org  . I'm planning my order to replant a hill where all trees were leveled causing some soil erosion. What you plant today will enrich others future ! See you there !

Hi Michael,

This is one of the nicest things I have heard in a long time. Here in California, our big thing is so go to the San Bernardino Mountains and dig up the little 2-3 inch tree-lings and take them home and nurture them all winter and then go and plant them back up in the mountains in the spring. We are losing so many trees to bark beetles that we have to try to replenish the trees.

I really like your idea. I may do this myself. It is great to give back to your community.
