Simple Ways to Tell the World you are a REALTOR®

I wrote a post last year, "What do you mean you didn't know I was a REALTOR®, Shame on Me!", and since then, I have made a point to let folks know what I do.  

I am not the type of person to "push" myself on people, I have always had a difficult time promoting myself at soccer games, PTO meetings, etc. Sometimes, what I do for a living casually works its way into conversation, but.... not always.

By wearing my REALTOR® cap to one local soccer game, I learned a valuable lesson.  No one will ever know that I sell houses if I don't tell them.  So, I have spent the last several months building my REALTOR® wardrobe.  It does not just consist of caps and shirts with the REALTOR® logo or my company name.  My Travel Coffee mug tells the world I am a REALTOR®.  My water bottle also tells the world.  If my shirt or jacket isn't appropriately labeled, I wear a pin.  My camp chair, that I lug to every soccer game and concert at the beach, has my company logo on the back for all to see (thanks mom).  When I meet someone at Starbucks or Panera and have my laptop in tow.... There's no doubting I am a REALTOR® with a logo skin proudly displayed!  At the tennis court, my sun visor tells the other players that I sell real estate!  

 

Some of you do not have a problem announcing to the world that you are a REALTOR®, I have found my way, and it seems to be working. In fact, my local association gives me a call when they get a new product they think I "Need".  I am a REALTOR® and now, the folks in my little world know it!
