-- According to the Pinal County fact sheet, there are two levels for qualification. Level 1 has two categories — very low income below 50 percent of median income in the county, equating to a family of four earning less than $32,750, and low income, below 80 percent of median, equating to a family of four earning less than $52,400. Level 2 is a moderate income below 120 percent of median, equating to a family of four earning less than $78,600.
-- Applicants must qualify themselves through a private lender. If they are turned down three times, assistance from Pinal County may be available.
-- Down payment help of up to 20 percent of the home price.
-- Up to $5,000 toward closing costs.
-- Up to $25,000 toward bringing the house to standards.
-- Applicants must provide up to $1,000 of their own money.
