Who Fits in This?

Who Fits Here?

Real estate agents come across many crazy and many interesting things in our daily efforts to sell and list homes.   Many times, we will come across unusual pieces of furniture, or interesting things from clients travels around the world.

While showing homes this afternoon, we came across something I have not seen in many many years - if ever.    It was an amazingly short tub in a small bathroom.   Perhaps I am showing my lack of 30 years in the business, but I had never come across one before.

small tub

My client took a picture for me, as my phone was in the car.   I have never seen one so square.  It would be fine for a shower, but who could use the tub?   Only a child, I suppose.

We then went on to the next home, and as we wandered through the bedrooms and baths upstairs, ---

We came across another one!  Two in one day!   Crazy!small tub

Dagny:

I have seen a few tubs as small as the ones you saw.  Maybe it was only for kids to bathe in.  I don't know.

Dagny...Tammy sent me an alert of this post, I don't think I would "feature" a tub if mine looked like these... More photos of the yard please.

Hi Dagny...Probably meant to be a shower base...Hey maybe it's for the Little People or washing your dog.

Cheers

Great for shampooing show dogs, I should think.  Wonder if they were production models or custom ordered to fit a former closet or something?

It took me a moment to figure out the photos. Viewing from my phone, the photos are rotated so that the tubs are standing on end. That view gave your blog an entirely new "twist".

I've seen those around my area as well.  When we lived in Japan we had a square tub but it was deep for soaking.

I still run into showers that I can barely get into and then turn around. The shower heads hit me at chest height in those things too. It just shows how much our size (height and width has increased).

Dagny - like people and the space in which they are to be placed tubs and showers come in many shapes and sizes ....

The ones that get me are the newer ones designed primarily for seniors that you step into, close the door, fill it up and then have your bath sitting up ..... after your bath you have to sit there while the water drains down to a level where you can open the door again

Thanks, all!  AR isn't letting me know that comments are coming in!      I would have commented along the way - I just now checked in to see if anyone had commented - surprise!!!!

There are lots of different types of tubs, but I found it fascinating that I would bump into two of these in one day!

Dagny it is interesting how some developers do not put their "buyer's hat" on when they do some home remodeling. I have seen all sorts of miss steps but never this one:))
