2007 NAR Convention Vendor Highlights - Going Green

Ok, now that Thanksgiving is behind me, I can get back to sharing about some of the great vendors that I met at the 2007 NAR Convention in Vegas.

There was a major theme that stood out to me at this years expo - GOING GREEN.  It seems that everyone is jumping on the "give back to and being one with the environment" movement.  One vendor, in particular, that stood out to me was the EDR Neighborhood Environmental Report, booth #849.

Barbara Hannan, of EDR, very graciously explained to me how more and more home buyers are not only concerned with the actual property they are looking at purchasing, but with the surrounding areas as well.  By providing Barbara with my home address, she was able to send me a 12-page report detailingif there had been, or currently are, any environmental risks in the area surrounding my home.  I was happy to find there are none.  If you would like to see what was all in the report for my address, send me an email I will gladly send you a copy.

For more information on how you can provide your clients with a report detailing the environmental hazards in their area, visit http://www.edrnet.com/ or contact Barbara directly at 203-882-6968.

Kristi - Thanks for sharing this... I wasn't able to attend this year - hope to in 2008- and it will be interesting to see if the "trend" or "movement" towards green building and buying become a habit and priority!

Kristi,  Thanks for the information. Could I suggest placing this on http://activerain.com/groups/GREEN We are always looking for more members.

Would their reports be similar to information found on the EPA or State of Michigan websites?
