You have a very cynical point of view. Honesty is not hard to achieve. People live by their word. Yes, there are prevaricators out there. But I prefer to believe that most people are straight shooters.

Hi Michael.  You have to have a really good memory to be a good liar.  It is easier to tell the truth.

Like Jay, my cat knows who I am and my children definitely do...i learned long ago that honesty hurts but works and it leaves behind no regrets...get in your own truth to have a non-regreting life...i like it Michael.

Michael, wow, you are getting more and more philisophical these days! It is far easier to tell the truth, trying to remember the lie is what usually gets people caught. Too much damn work.

Then there is always the issue of different points of view... no two people see things in the same way... are they lying?

It's too early, I haven't even finished my coffee yet.

So telling myself that mini donuts have no calories is probably not in my best interests.....

It is so much easier to tell the truth..what a tangled web we weave when we don't :) Many times there are two or more viewpoints and not sure any of them is a lie...I need to get my first cup of coffee..I have a basketball game of my granddaughter's to get to!

Michael, very philosophical and in my humble opinion, spot on, as they say. Some may disagree and theytoo, are entitled to their opinion. Enjoy your day! 

Sir Michael~I lie to myself almost on a daily basis.  I look in the mirror and what I see in return is a 20 year old with lots of hair, smooth face and strong features <sigh>  ;~)

I've been referred to as "painfully" honest, so you know where I stand on this.............plus if  I like, there's too much to remember, not worth it.

Lying to yourself is like cheating at solitaire! I can't remember who said it but if you always tell the truth, you don't need to remember what you said.

This is almost too deep for a Saturday morning. You're right, we have all lied. It is NEVER a good thing. It's difficult  to always tell the truth. Ie: Do you like my new haircut?  Sometimes we select the easy path, but that does not make it right.  We need to learn to take a negative and turn it in to a positive. "I really liked the other hairstyle better, but it's not your hair that makes me adore you." (sometimes easier said than done.) HA!

Uhhhh....my weight is just fine the way it is....yeah, that's the ticket :)  Okay, I know that's not true.  We can delude ourselves, or face reality.  Now doing what is needed to fix it is another story altogether.  Bill

Ha...Lying was a no no in my Mum's World and somehow she always knew when you were lying..do you suppose our clients do to...you bet they suspect.
