Into Every Life...
Someone much wise than me coined the phrase, "Into every life some rain must fall." Rain has been written about, sung about, danced in and the litany could go on ad nauseam, but you get my drift. Rain is a part of everyone's life.
It was raining this morning while I was doing my daily calisthenics. Next in line was my 1.5 mile power walk. My inner voice kept telling me, it is cold, raining and I really don't want to do this. I had to make a choice. Listen to my inner voice, be weak and cop out on what I have committed to do or be inwardly strong, be resourceful and grow from the experience.
Thank God someone invented umbrellas, boots and slickers. Donning them I realized, that when I am properly prepared, have the inner conviction and am focused on the final outcome; I can overcome anything that life throws my way…

One of the best times to photograph flowers is after the rain.  Maybe all of have lessons to learn from nature.

Have an outstanding week!

So well said, Michael.  I'm a rainy day girl.  I love the rain.  I grew up on a river, wooded area all around the house.  The road into town was red clay and not much gravel in those days over in Choctaw County.  When it rained a good solid rain, the school bus could not get down my road and I got to play hooky.  There's just something about water falling out of the sky that thrills my soul.  I think I should have been born a fish.  You're my favorite blogger today.  Suggested this one.  Be back later to see if it got there.

my Daddy goes out walking in the rain looking like the Gordon's fisherman.  I laugh at him, but he's gonna get his walk in... he is 71.  Mom walks in the basement... rain or shine.

I love rain.  I love the feeling of walking in the rain.  And better then that, I love coming in after walking in the rain and curling up in a warm blanket next to the fire place.

Michael, you are an inspiration!  I hate to admit it, but I really would like to see a picture of you in that yellow slicker, boots and umbrella.  I'm kind of picturing the kid on the Morton Salt box!  ;-).
