Christmas Give-Away

I'm posting this blog to raise money for THE CHRISTMAS STORE...

Before I get into the details let me share a story and a reason why I take this so seriously.

Few years ago, my father was in charge of a charity event through his Rotary Club. They have raised money to donate to a local orphanage where they were going to buy new clothes and presents for the kids. They have raised the money and few of the club members went to the orphan house to take the kids out for shopping. Most of these kids were between 3 and 7 years old.

The officials of the orphanage selected the kids that will be going out with the Rotary Club members. Needless to say, not everyone was geting to participate (which breaks my heart to see little kids with sad faces).

After the group went into the orphanage house and walking out the door with the kids, my father was waiting for everyone to get on the bus, a little boy ran towards him and asked if he can go with them. Before my father gets a chance to say somethine, one of the orphanage employees yelled at the kid to get back in.

That is the face that I would never forget. He was almost successful but he didn't. The face that will break anyone's heart

My father being the soft hearted person, (at the same time I've seen him go crazy in his bussiness) looked at the kid and then turned to the official and asked why he was yelling at a 3-4 year old kid. He asked the man to explain why he was not selected and how he can not get participate in this event.

The guy, without skipping a beat, said that "LIFE IS NOT FAIR and it costs couple of hundreds of dollars for each kid."

I could tell that my father was getting angry, but he calmly told the guy to explain how and why the life is not fair to a 3 year old. Then he paused for a second, and continued "Why don't you think about it, and you can explain it to him when we come back. I'm taking him with us, and I'll pay for it".

Right at that moment, the smile on that kids face was worth every penny that you can spend. Probably, for the first time in his life, someone was defending him and cared for him.

That was the face that I wouldn't think twice before spending my money for him, even if means that I may have to dig into my savings or skip a bill.

His smile was great, but I wish everyone could see his face when he was told no. Every Christmas when I receive a charity event list for kids, THAT IMAGE comes to mind.

So here is the deal...

I'm spending money to help The Christmas Store where they have the list of items needed for Kids, Teens, Moms/Dads and Hygiene. However, I thought about writing here and raise more money. Even if I get $1, that is fine...I'd like to put that smile on as many kids as I can reach.

This is what I have in mind. I have three Christmas designs that I'm posting below. I will send a high resolution of these three images to anyone who would like to help with this cause.

If you would like to help in person to volunteer your time, here is the contact information:
