There are several things to look for in a real estate agent - the person you trust to help you sell your house or land.

Keeping in mind that one of the ways people will be searching for their next home is by doing an area search on a map, check this out: kansas city home mapped in China

This is where the map is pointed to a house listed for sale in Kansas City, Missouri. Now, we do have a Kansas City Kansas as well but neither Kansas City is in China. The Listing Agent either doesn't know how to place the pin in the right place or just didn't bother to check.

So, all the buyers who are doing map searches for houses won't see this one. Is this really the agent you want to hire to help you sell your million dollar house?

I think we ought to not hire agents that spend too much time with their families either I mean all that time could be used on selling my home right. Or the one that has hobbies I mean his only life should be selling my house that is what I hired him for. LOL

Maria, I don't think many Buyers or Sellers give enough thought to what they really need in a Realtor.

Hi Maria...Having a Check list when you take a new listing would help with this issue, but then again I'm sure this Realtor doesn't have a check list.

Maria, love the attention to details, who knew there was a map of Upper Mongolia? I'll be giggling about this for a while! It is ridiculously simple to double check the mapping after entering a listing on MLS. The service even uses great big letters to suggest you do so. We see this misplacement on the map so often, never in Mongolia so far but I've seen Western NC properties end up in GA.
