PLEASE KEEP WASHINGTON REDSKINS SAFETY SEAN TAYLOR'S FAMILY,FRIENDS,ORGANIZATION AND THE NFL IN YOUR PRAYERS

This is no blog to get points - SERIOUSLY! Heck,Redskins is not even my favorite team. I am a San Franscisco 49ers Fan ( Lord knows they can use a prayer or two ). But I am definitely a Sean Taylor Fan. He was having a great year. But to hear the bad news today that he is dead at the age of 24 to me is something I just can't accept - I'M SORRY BUT I JUST DONT UNDERSTAND WHY IT HAD TO HAPPEN. Just Ask Gregg Williams - ( Former Asst Head Coach/Defensive Coordinator for the Washington Redskins and now Defensive Coordinator for the Jacksonville Jaquars )he would be quick to tell you that he was definitely the best player he ever coached. Gregg Williams said that he was Special.  But in a year that started off promising in the NFL all of a sudden doesn't seem to me exciting right now.

The Indianapolis Colts,Peyton Manning aka "The Student" since he is so dedicated to learning the game. ( A lot of quarterbacks and NFL Players can learn from him ) and and Tony Dungy, finally won a Super Bowl. The New England Patriots have emerged as perhaps the greatest team of all time this year chasing records and individual marks - Tom Brady is on pace to throw like 60 TDS and a once talented player name Randy Moss has reminded some people why he is still not one of the best wide receivers today but one of the best wide receivers to ever play this game when his career is over. Dallas Cowboys and Green Bay Packers are two old franchises with two stars - Brett Favre and Terrell Owens that have been rejuvenated all of a sudden. But as great as the stories have been,07 has not really been a good year if you really look at it. It seems to be one bad thing happening after another. Like someone said Taylor's murder this week was an all too familiar one.

The year started bad when a very young and promising cornerback for the Denver Broncos name Darrent Williams was shot and killed by a passing gunman while riding in a limo after an altercation at a local nightclub. And less than two months later, another Denver Broncos player Damien Nash collapsed and died after playing a charity basketball game in his hometown of St.Louis. In March, the Patriots Marquise Hill accidentally drowned after falling off his jet ski in his native Louisiana. Here's what suck about this - All four men were just 24 years old.

The off season was also plagued with legal trouble with Former Tennesse Titans cornerback Pacman Jones (who is now with the Dallas Cowboys) involvement in a gentleman's club shooting in Las Vegas that left someone paralyzed and Michael Vick-one of the league's most exciting player arrested with his connection to dog fighting at his property in Virginia. Even O.J is in Trouble Again - Lord help him. I just pray and hope we NEVER,NEVER SEE A YEAR LIKE THIS. This is too much to bear. I bet Roger Goddell didn't expect this. Neither did I or anybody else out there. I just pray and hope we NEVER,NEVER HAVE TO EXPERIENCE ANYTHING LIKE THIS NOT JUST IN NFL BUT IN ANY SPORTS PERIOD. Anyone who has lost a loved one this year or in the past, may their soul rest in peace. Peace. God bless.

Lanre,

I posted a little Sean Taylor a Redskin died today.... post about this, this morning. It is so sad...what a shame for his family, friends, daughter, and fans...his house was broken into 8 days ago down here in Florida. His phone line was cut, so if he indeed did have a security system, it wouldn't have worked.

My parents got their first season tickets to the Washington Redskins in 1948.  My son is the third generation in the family to use the season tickets.  This is a tragic loss for his family and infant daughter.  Everyone should remember that life is fragile and sometimes cut short and hug your family today.

After eighteen year in the cemetery/funeral industry I still am stunned by the senseless disregard for life. Whether it a famous athlete or the kid down the block, I weep for our society and the child that grows up with out love and concern that eventually reaches adulthood and can not show love and concern for others.

Dionne,

I so ditto your post, I was so upset this morning, I really thought he would pull through...and poor little Jackie, his beloved daughter...I know that I couldn't work in the same industry...not enough tears in a life time to shed. It takes special people to work in the funeral industry.  No matter who has passed...

I posted about this this morning...I am still in shock!

Lanre, Taylor was a great player.  It is just terrible that these things happen to anyone let alone a talented, young person like him.  We need to say a prayer for his family and friends.

I don't watch much television and had not heard about the tragedy until late in the afternoon.  What a senseless waste.

Chris - I was surprised to hear it too because a friend of mine called me to tell me about Sean Taylor. It was a senseless waste.

Roberta - He was definitely a great player. At the age of 24,he was playing great football. He will definitely be missed.

Lewis - I agree. Sean Taylor was definitely a hard hitting Safety. You can put up there with the best of them EX: Ronnie Lott,Steve Atwater,Sammy Baugh ( Don't know about him but I heard he was good ),John Lynch just to name a few. Great post.

Karen - I understand why he didn't have a alarm system in his house. Maybe if he did have one,he might've still been alive. 2008 and some people don't have alarm system. I just don't understand Karen. Thanks for commenting.

Dionne - For someone to take somebody's life apparently that person don't care about life period. Thanks for commenting.

Cindy - You never know when you are going to go. Too bad he died sooner than anyone would've expected.

Eleanor - I pray that they catch the no good heartless person who have brought pain to Sean Taylor's Family,Friends and Fans. Thanks for commenting.
