Boise Realtors Short Sale training, like any Realtors anywhere should be questioned by both buyers and sellers but especially sellers. Failing to close an attempted short sale can have devastating effects, ending in foreclosure. Short sales can be difficult. Experience is very important.
We started doing short sales a few years ago before the Boise Short Sale Boom. At that time few Realtors even attempted them. There was almost no training available. We learned the hard way. Just doing them. Most of the banks had small Loan Loss Mitigation departments that handled these and they were disorganized and difficult to work with.
Soon we put together a short sale package that was easy for people to go through, understand, collect the information that they needed to get approved for a short sale, including a hardship letter.
One of my agents who has done more short sales than any one agent that I know went through training with Short Sale Genius. This was a non bank short sale organization. Today he is still involved with Short Sale Genius which is a network of trained agents. They have done an excellent job of networking experience and information to help get through to the banks and understand the differences between them.
Now there are many training programs. Many directly from the banks. How do you think they train? To benefit buyers and short sale sellers, or BANKS? Banks do not particularly want experienced agents and brokers who are advocates for sellers or buyers. They want to maximize their recovery. NOT YOURS. Often negotiation is dictation to an agent from an agent of the bank. You need an advocate for you.
It is easy to have any Realtor show you on their MLS how many short sales they have listed, how many have closed, how many have expired and failed. Beware of Boise Realtors Short Sale Training.
