From hundreds of boat debuts and thousands of cutting-edge technologies on display, to appearances from local and national celebrities and on-the-water action, the world’s premier boating event provides every visitor a chance to discover the fun of the boating lifestyle.
Some of the cool kit showcased includes the world's first semi-submarine boat - ideal for undersea sightseeing for those who don't like the fuss of scuba diving. Celebrity guests include acclaimed sailing author Jimmy Cornell, who has sailed more than 200,000 across all 7 oceans and players from the Miami Marlins baseball team.
The interactive educational series at the Discover Boating Resource Center offers a hands-on approach to training that includes free, daily boating seminars covering a range of topics followed by on-the water clinics to apply skills learned in the classroom. Courses include boating fundamentals, beginners’ and advanced sailing, close quarter handling and navigation.
The show attracts a large number of boat enthusiasts that fill the boat docks and marinas around Miami Beach for the duration, which is from Feb 16 - 20 this year.
