Shall We Dance

By
Real Estate Agent with Alain Pinel Realtors

In my free time, ballroom dancing is a great hobby of mine. In some aspects, a real estate transaction can be compared to dance.

Although one can dance alone, an experienced partner (your REALTOR) can guide you through the dance, as they have danced the dance many times before.

Both parties must be on beat together. In real estate, this translates to the REALTOR asking his or her clients, the appropriate questions needed in order to narrow down the best route for their client. The client cannot look to their REALTOR to just lead them blindly across the dance floor. A good partner has to communicate with the individual that they chose to lead them through the dance. Ask your agent questions, tell them your likes and dislikes, concerns, and anything that may help them to better lead you.

With the right communication, dancing can be a lot of fun. In regards to real estate, searching for your home should be an enjoyable experience. ENJOY THE DANCE! You may come across songs that are not your favorites, but eventually you will find the song (home) that brings the dance right out of you.

With every dance, there will be turns that come unexpectedly during the dance. Continue to communicate with your partner, and the dance will go on. Eventually, the dance will end with a nice smooth dip. In real estate, this is the closing day, where you receive the keys to your new home! You may have worked up a sweat, but the goal you had from the start, was to buy a home that brought a smile to your face.

Contact me any time, if you would like to dance the dance of purchasing a new home!

I would love to learn to ballroom dance but I don't think my husband would ever do it and I am not sure how coordinated I would be.  Sounds like fun!!

I like the analogy but as much as I would love to see Bud try to ballroom dance...I think things are going good as is.

I originally began because I wanted to have some extra fun at my sister's wedding, years ago. I had to break loose of 2 left feet myself. Should you ever try, it definitely is fun and very therapeutic. Thanks for commenting Cynthia.

That is a great analogy! When everyone is in sync and following the right steps, it is a beautiful thing!

Have a nice day!

Beth: I hope one day that Bud does give it a try. If not, I hope things keep going well.

Gina: I'm so happy you like my analogy. It sure is a beautiful thing when everyone is in sync. Have a great day as well!
