Attorney Denise Bianes Soto, of the Soto Law Firm, P.C., practices with her daughter, Attorney Jennifer Potter in the following areas: wills, revocable living trusts, powers of attorney, Medicaid planning, taxable estate planning, guardianships, conservatorships, probate, trust administration, pre-marital agreements, corporations and LLC’s.

 

Denise will be speaking on why it is important to have an estate plan in place.There are unique problems when someone with memory loss now wants or needs to do their estate planning, advance directives, or a power of attorney. Learn how it changes when someone has a memory-related illness or can no longer speak for themselves.

 

Professionally, Denise is a member of Oregon State Bar Elder Law and Estate Planning Sections. Denise is Past President of the Linn County Bar Association (2007-2008, and 2008-2009), Past Chair of the Linn County Bar Association Judicial Screening Committee, past member of the Linn County Court Facilities Assessment Committee (2009), past member of the Law Library Board (2006-2009), and served as 2005-2006 Secretary of the Linn County Bar Association.Other professional affiliations include: WealthCounsel Estate Planning Attorneys, the Oregon Regional Forum of Estate Planning Attorneys, a past member of the National Network for Estate Planning Attorneys and is a current member of “Stop Elder Abuse Now,” (a group organized to problem-solve about local elder abuse issues).
