We have waited long enough for those who could have acted to ameliorate the property tax crisis at hand. It is only through a resolutely determined statewide citizen's initiative that we will succeed in passing this much needed property tax reform.
This amendment caps all property taxes at 1.35% of taxable value while preserving SAVE OUR HOMES and all HOMESTEAD EXEMPTIONS. This plan cuts property taxes by $8 billion and reduces property tax collections by 26% statewide.
Groups from all over the state all rallying behind this proposal and
are committed to collecting the petitions needed to place this before
Florida voters.
