Water Fitness Classes in College StationGet ready for summer now by taking water fitness classes in College Station.  Registration is currently underway for the Spring Night Water Fitness classes offered by the City of College Station's Parks and Recreation Department.  Whether you're a seasoned athlete or simply want to get your couch potato body back into shape, aquatic exercise is perfect for you.  As long as you are 12 years or older, you are welcome to join in on the fun.

Beginning March 1, 2012 and continuing through May 31, 2012, the Spring Night Water Fitness classes will be held every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 7pm to 8pm at the College Station ISD Natatorium (College Station Middle School, 900 Rock Prairie Rd), which houses a 25 meter swimming pool.  Due to the buoyancy properties of the water, aquatic exercise gets the heart pumping and works the muscles without causing any stress on your joints.  This makes it great for all athletic abilities (or inabilities, as the case may be).  Work off the pregnancy weight.  Help strengthen your body after surgery.  Shed the pounds from your sedentary lifestyle.  Keep in shape while recuperating from an injury.  It really is perfect for anyone of any skill level.

The cost for classes is $60 per person for College Station residents and $120 for non-residents.  You can either register online at the Parks Department's website or in person at the Stephen C Beachy Park Central Office located at 1000 Krenek Tap Road during normal business hours (8am to 5pm, Monday through Friday).  Get ready for summertime now by joining the water fitness classes in College Station.  You'll be surprised how much of a sweat you can work up surrounded by thousands of gallons of water!
