Doves In My Backyard

By
Real Estate Agent with Fathom Realty

I often have 10 or more doves resting in my backyard.  Don't know why.  There is a gray tabby cat (not mine) that lays in the same area (not at the same time) so it must be a good spot for sunning.  I tried to get a good picture of the cat but he lays up in the shade.

Gene, I'm trying to get birds to my backyard, right now I have doves, a lot of them. My neighbors allow their cat to wander which I don't like and he hangs out in our yard.. :( All my cats are indoor only, they enjoy the wildlife from the windows.

I have great bird feeder which keeps the squirrels off.  I only use songbird food which is mostly black sunflowers and attracts a lot of small birds which is what I want.

Maybe the birds ate the cat?  Just kidding!  I love birds and cats.

Nice.  I've been trying for a while to get a photo of a blue heron who fishes lakeside in our back yard but he's been too skittish and flys off before I can get a good photo.

You need my new camera, the Panasonic DMC FZ 18.  It can see the hairs on a flies butt at 18 paces.
