I'm strong for Toledo

  I was born in Toledo and have lived here most of my life. It is with the experience of living in Chicago, South Bend, Indianapolis, Dallas and a son that resides in China that I base my opinion.  I have never lived anywhere that has had the tremendous park system that Toledo has.  Did you know that you can volunteer at our parks? Not only will you be enjoying the beautiful surroundings but will learn many interesting facts about our local floral and fawna, welcome visitors to our parks and help as an extra set of eyes for our park rangers.  The art museum is one of the best in the country. If you haven't visited lately, perhaps you should put it on your list of things to do. An award winning zoo with a large collection of mammals, amphibians and birds in stunning exhibits is just another jewel in Toledo's crown. Like old movies...try the Collingwood Arts Theatre complete with a grand pipe organ. Close proximity to the great Lake Erie and walleye fishing in the Maumee River that brings hundreds of fishing enthusiasts each year.  The weather is a perfect mix of both warm and cold weather. Stop by the Fallen Timbers monument or the Wolcott House for a lesson in history.  Multiple local hospitals and the Cleveland Clinic nearby.  Put In Bay, the Jet Express, Cedar Point amusement park, a micro brewery, an outstanding array of eatiries to include the Docks for river dining, river tours, University of Toledo and Medical College, the Repetoire Theatre, great public library system (be sure to visit the main library downtown)  Fabulous architecture is all around. The list goes on and on. Affordable housing in a family community.  I invite you to take in  the wonderful amenities of the Toledo area and enjoy them as much as I do.
