Because I can't re-blog the damn thing.

I love the way this gal writes.  And I love her.  We had a 30 minute debate on why this (the following blog) wasn't or was a big deal.  I don't think it is and find any resemblance to an issue very debatable.  Still, hard to argue with the gal that folds your dirty underwear.  In fairness, it is also hard to argue with the guy that cleans wood floors on his knees.  Should a deleted post be handled differently?

To Tell The Truth  (Members Only)

I used to watch this show when I was young. It was wonderful and clever. And at the time, I thought it was just a game show.... a passing amusement. But in fact, I can point to that particular venue as having had a strong impact on my sense of honesty and transparency.

While the purveyors of dishonesty were often quick-witted and shrewd, I felt singularly intelligent in being able to spot the frauds early in the episode. I wasn't alone. My big family broke into animated dialogue about the subtle 'tell' each lying contestant gave away while trying to convince us that 4 + 4 equaled 5. We were really good at this. It shaped my character in ways that still trickle down. And I am thankful.

Now this is not to discount the efficacy of the common liar. Let's be honest.... there are entire industries - not to mention various branches of the federal government - who specialize in doing nothing more than being and/or catching a thief. But this is an oxymoron that I cannot address in full on a mere post.

The point I wish to make is this:  It used to be that when a post was taken down by either ActiveRain management, or the blogger her/himself, we would return to that post and see a message indicating that the post had been removed. That was the simple truth. No harm, no foul.

Now, on the contrary, when this same thing happens today, we are presented with a bizarre message stating that, 'we must have lost our keys". Because the content is no longer available or whatever, it has now become a matter of our own mislaying of the information. It is now OUR FAULT.

Really?????

I just have to ask, after being a member of this forum for nearly five years... how hard is it To Tell The Truth?

What happened here people? Isn't this the forum representing the industry that works so hard to exemplify honesty and integrity in the marketplace? Or has that vanished along with the old guard too?

I am many things. I am honest. I am paying attention. And I am NOT impressed.

Jennifer Monroe wrote this.  Check her out (not literally, cause I'm with her and that tends to piss off the natural state of being with someone, let alone my manhood).

She is the best writer this forum has ever seen.  And she is wrong on this;)
