With Procrastination The Time Is Now

By
Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams Realty 0575737

Now ClockI have discussed procrastination in this blog before in our business and personal life and all I can say about it is get a handle around one word

       NOW

You have urgent unimportant things that usually get entirely too much of your attention but keep high focus, and high priority on the nonurgent important things in your life. Family, friends, taking care of yourself, whatever MEANS the most in your life and tend to that.

The terminal cancer patients with months if not days left to live do not hear the clock by their bed side going tick, tick, tick but rather...

PRECIOUS, PRECIOUS, PRECIOUS.

Make best use of your time while YOU STILL HAVE IT.

This is a great post, tell a dying person he has a deadline to meet.

Gary,

Message that needs to be repeated periodically. We all have the same amount of time each day, we just spend it differently.

Such an important message that is often forgotten.  It's sometimes easy to lose sight of just how precious time is.  And, as they say -- time waits for no one.  Thanks for the reminder!

Gary - great photo that reinforces your post.   It's so easy to get caught up in the minutiae of the day -- you are so right the time is NOW.

Gary,

Please, forgive my procrastination.

My friend Bob called me the day he died, I thank God for that call! "PRECIOUS, PRECIOUS, PRECIOUS."

I had the last normal conversation my brother Jack ever had, I almost put it off. "PRECIOUS, PRECIOUS, PRECIOUS."

I'm only 63, but many of my friends are/were older We think there is always more time, you just never know. Jack was 10 months younger!

You just never know when tomorrow is to late.

Gary,

No doubt.  Every second we remain in the Valley of Indecision is a second we really waste with our time, resources and making our dreams to become actualized... g

Gary, I wish I could get my workaholic (and now quite sick) husband to read this message loud and clear. It's the Stephen Covey quadrant, the important but not URGENT that is really missed in our lives and it falls below the URGENT quadrant and that's too bad, because it's the IMPORTANT, like your health and well-being that doesn't get focused on unless something URGENT like Cancer gets your immediate attention.

(Not to worry, w/my hubby, it's not the Big C--just the creeping crud, but he's still working).

First thing I do every morning is procrastinate. Ok....on a serious note. We have good friends going through the cancer cycle right now. Diagnosed with stage 4 in December...out of the blue. Time is what they are making the most of right now.

I love that all our commenters understand this concept, and see that nonurgent important area as very meaningful. Thanks for your thoughts, now we need to spread the word. Trust me, when you have stage 4 cancer, this is a VERY clear message to those folks. Thanks again all.
