MAUI OPEN STUDIOS--WEEKEND THREE
If you haven't made it to either of the previous Open Studio Weekends this will be your last chance until next year. I know it is definitely high season here and there are so many events scheduled each weekend that it's hard to fit it all in. This weekend, Maui Open Studios takes you all the way to Hana--that little jewel of a town on the east side. The drive there through the rain forests is splendid and the views are always so spectacular.
This Open Studios Weekend starts off a little differently. There is an artist's reception on Friday, February 25, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Travaasa (formerly the Hotel Hana Maui) with no-host appetizers, a cash bar, and entertainment. It's another opportunity to meet the artists and plan your visits.
Then on Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m., seven individual artists and twelve artists at Source Interactive Arts Festival are opening their studios for tours and demonstrations.
