My Top 5 Blog Posts of all time - Westchester NY Hardwood flooring

westchester hardwood flooring and refinishingThese are sorted based on clicks.  It's fun to see the numbers continue to grow each month and which ones really have staying power.  As I've learned which ones are most popular, I've also created some variations on my wordpress site on these topics and I continue to backlink to them on newer blog posts.

I now have my first post with over 5,000 clicks.  I'm sure there are many here with much higher stats.

1. What types of Hardwood Flooring are best for pets - Westchester NY and Stamford CT (12/17/10)

This was also reblogged 37 times (and I don't have a way to track those clicks.  5,030 clicks.  This is a topic a lot of customers wonder about.

2.  Hire a contractor you can trust - Hope this doesn't happen to you  (7/4/10)  4929 clicks.  This is one of the first blog posts I did. It had a video on it.  I think it's the title that drove the interest.  It is not a very deep post at all.

3.  Basement flooring - what floor works best for your home in Westchester NY? 8/22/10.  This was actually a reblog.  As I noticed htis was getting a lot of hits, I recently developed my own blog post for this on my wordpress site.  And, I seem to be getting more website leads for basements.  Coincidence?  3837 Clicks.

4.  I have hardwood underneath my carpet. Should I refinish or recarpet? (1/26/11) 3,487 clicks.  Tis is also a common question - among home owners and real estate agents.   A lot of agents also had an interest in this one as it was reblogged 18 times.

5.  Designing a Kitchen backsplash (9/4/10)  3,335 clicks.  I think this is an area that puzzle a lot of people and they just don't know where to start.

If you haven't looked at your stats lately, maybe you should.  Go to your home page and click the traffic button.  This will help you learn what's working best.

You have proven to be the one to go to, to get all your flooring questions answered Debbie. Did you have to go through all your posts to see which had the most clicks? Or can it be sorted?

Either way, great job!

Janis - Thx. You are so sweet.  We generally stick to this area.  I do know someone who is great in Middletown NY.  Is that closer to you?

Tammie - Thank you.  I'm feeling the love today.

Joanna - Thanks so much.  I'm so glad to hear that.

Tom - I so wish it could be sorted.  They need to improve that.  I did go through these manually.  But, a while back...the I just go back to these stat pages to update the numbers since the same ones are always at the top.

Jay - Thx so much.  Yes, clicks are what count as that means someone actualy opened them (and theoretically read them).

Debbie~These are great posts, and cover many of the questions people have. I really liked post #3 about basement flooring, especially the tip about taping a small sheet of plastic to the floor.

Have an AWESOME day!

Debbie, I just thought of something. What if you don't have a water problem with your basement, but a humidity problem due to the changing seasons? Would that change the way you choose flooring for your basement?

Thanks!

Wow ... what a great idea to do this, Debbie!  These blogs are popular for a reason .. and obviously hold information that readers found valuable.  This is a great way to introduce new readers to the information and insight they hold .. all while reminding those of us that have read many of them of their wisdom once again.  Great marketing on your own behalf too!  Brilliant!  I may borrow your fantastic idea ...

Michael - Thx so much.  Humidity probs are mainly treated same as water issues.    If you're basement is humid, anything that is not good with water will not be good w/ humidity.  I would avoid hardwood and laminate w/ humidity problems.  Carpeting is not great either, but if it's minor moisture, sometimes a moisture resistant carpet pad will do the trick.

Gene - Thx so much and yes, by all means search & reapply.

Thanks for getting back to me Debbie, I really appreciate that. I'm hoping to finish off at least one room in my basement this year, and I'm not quite sure what to lay down for flooring. I sure wish you worked in my area.

Have an AWESOME day!
