Useful Websites to Help you Organize

There are lots of good, free online tools to help you organize your life. Here are some you can try out!

Take notes online: Jjot ( creates online "sticky notes." After you create an account, you go to the website, type in a note - and you're done. Your screen of notes (which you can move around, just like you would on your desk) is available from any computer after you log in.

Make to-do lists and project plans: Ta-Da List ( is a simple way to make lists and organize them. Once you are logged in, you can view your lists from any computer. A more sophisticated version is Backpack (, which also allows you to add notes, create calendar appointments, and have reminders sent to you via email or cellphone text message.

Also worth investigating: Remember the Milk ( and HipCall (

Create Online Menus for the week as well as shopping lists: Go to and create an account. You can file reciepes in your online "recipe box", make your menu for the week and create shopping lists.

Thanks Bonnie! It is really easy to add one of these. First, go to and set up an account and play around with designing yours. You can really get them to look similar to you and copy your interests, behaviors, style, etc. It is really fun to play with. When you get one that you like... there is an option an option to export the code. Here is a fabulous post that Brad Anderson did that teaches you where to place your information so that your meez will come up on your page. It is called Widgets: How to Add Them to Your Blog He has a great blog with a lot of teaching for technical things. Have fun and thanks for commenting!

Hi Melissa,  I think I'm going to use Jjot.  I have a similar function in my Yahoo! Mail account but have it cluttered with long term goals etc. that I'm not willing to get rid of yet.  I'll use Jjot for my daily and weekly to-do reminders.  Maybe my desk will be less cluttered now.  One can only hope.  :)
