Brett-  I write my own newsletter. It is mostly filled with house hold tips, a recipe, my listings a featured listing w. photo & my under agreements & solds - shows I'm active!!!  Also may have sports schedules. I get a lot of positive comments & I have gotten up to 8 calls from one mailing.  I mail to my SOI of 300.  I send monthly. There is a new blog group for newsletters. We submit articles & give each other permission to use in our newsletters, I will send you an invitation.

Karen -

I use Service For Life but have cancelled as of the end of December. I would be interested in the newsletter group.

Thanks!

Debbie,  I have used many ideas from service for life newsletters. I will invite you to the group.

Some things that make my newsletter work.

Consistancy - sent every month.

News they can use- past articles were - How to get a Free credit report, how to lower your real estate taxes etc. Not all about Real estate however I often have an article "What's happening in the real estate market"

A lender has shared the cost with me. she gets one "article" & her contact info.

It is a one page tri-fold with no envelope. The return address is my printed photo & address.

Good advice. And I agree that the opt-out statement in particularly should definitely be included.

I have a friend that is intrested in the service for life newsletters. I've seen some info on them but, not an example. How do you like it?

-- Debbie, Why did you stop using service for life?

Back to the orginal topic: My disclaimer is:

If you are currently working with a real estate broker, please disregard.
It is not my intention to solicit the offerings of other real estate brokers.
I am happy to work with them and cooperate fully.

Good advice.  We always have to protect ourselves.  We have to be careful in how we advertise.

Robyn - smart of you to use the disclaimer If you google service for life you can probably send for info & they will send you a sample. I really prefer my own I can make it local & informative Whatever you choose I think it is really important to have your listings solds & under agreements so it shows you are active. for a copy of my September newsletter visit my blog,  http://activerain.com/blogsview/295209/My-Newsletter-Comments-Suggestions

Debbie  Why are you cancelling service for life ?  Did you see much response to it? I admit my response has gone down but in my market only selllers that need to sell have homes on the market.

How very apropo that I stumble across THIS post my first hour back with AR after many months!  This is actually one of my "areas of expertise".  I know I'm not supposed to solicit here, so I won't.  Just check out my profile.  Maybe there's something of value there.
