Homes for Sale in Stockbridge GA - Home Prices for New Listings Trending Upward

 

The average price coming onto the market for homes for sale in Stockbridge GA took a tremendous dip during the last 12 months, from an average high of $225,428 in January 2011 to a low of $112,021 in October. But with the spring selling season in view, prices are once again trending upward, averaging about $214,820 last month.

Stockbridge GA Pre-foreclosure home prices remained relatively flat, coming on the market at an average  price of $154,337 for the year. However, the average market sale price ( which includes pre-foreclosures and traditional resale properties) for the same time period was slightly less, $151,103.

 

Stockbridge GA REO home sales continue to put downward pressure on the market, and are currently selling for a lower average price than at any time in the past 12 months. The average foreclosure property for sale was priced at $116,574, last month, but the average actual average REO selling price was significantly lower, at $75,591

Still, Henry County sellers seem optimistic that the spring season will bring out the buyers. The average price of new resale listings coming on the market last month was about $214,820.

Great report Elva.  The overall inventory is down around the Metro area from the levels of 2-3 years ago.  That is a good sign.

Kathy, it IS a good sign. Inventories are heading towards normal levels again. Now if we could just get all the pent-up buyer demand in action.
