I’d I would like to share with you some good news, as follows:
· States like Florida, which was battered by the housing bust and foreclosure crisis, noted significant drops in for-sale inventory levels. Three Florida metropolitan areas — Fort Lauderdale, Orlando and Tampa-St. Petersburg-Clearwater — saw for-sale inventory levels drop more than 42% in January. (HousingWire)
· Realtor.com released its list of the top 10 turnaround towns for the 2011 fourth quarter. While the 10 towns listed – eight of which are in Florida – suffered from high foreclosure rates, they are now rebounding. Miami is No. 1 and Fort Lauderdale is No. 8 on the list.
- Housing affordability rose to a record high during the fourth quarter of 2011, which means a home buyer’s purchasing power is greater than it ever has been before, according to the National Association of Home Builders/Wells Fargo Housing Opportunity Index.
