Is the Real Estate News Real??

By
Real Estate Agent with Watson Realty Corp

Wth the ever shifting sands of real estate news and the seemingly contradictory information, I fhave finally decided that the news is basiclly good, much more so than bad. According to Realtor Magazine the inventory of for-sale homes nationally has dropped by about 23% compared to this time last year, and fell by 6% from Dec. to Jan.Time on the market is also decreasing, almost 5% below last January's levels. The median price is up more than 3% from lst year. Interestingly enough, althugh Florida is ofen sited as the second state with the most foreclosures, after California, 4 out of 5 metro areas with the highest increases for the median price are located in Florida! Could we be coming out of this hole slowly but surely? I can testify that the St Augustine market is hot,and realtors are busy, busy, busy!

I love living and working at real estate in St. Augustine.  (Click to see a Saint Augustine slideshow)  If you’re looking for property in St. Augustine Beach, Historic District, or anywhere in St. Johns County, I can help! Here are some of my featured properties.  I also specialize in listing properties and can help sell your home.  Call me for a FREE CMA at 904-669-2146.   Just click here to search the MLS like an agent.

I agree the market appears to be getting better here in Destin, Fl. Inventory is down and there are buyers everywhere.

I agree that there is a slow and steady upturn underway...media may not end up reporting same, though, till aroud April/May.
