Your Opinion on a Product Reply Inc.

I'm a member on several listserv type products and I'm not sure I've ever seen this type of question brought up before on active rain. I've been approached by a lead generation company called Reply Inc. wanting to sell me leads. My basic instinct is I don't like the concept at all that I would rather spend that amount of money improving my site or paying for pay per click leads. The thing that makes this a little intriguing is its $54 a lead and they guaranteed me one under contract within a month. Have any of you use this product and what has been your experience. If you would rather answer me directly, here is my e-mail address:

Is there a minimum you have to buy? If you have to buy 10 and they guarantee one under contract that sounds reasonable, as long as you don't pay if there is no contract. I'd rather the guarantee say one closed.

Rick, perhaps they changed their format of how to pay, but years ago I signed up with them for x amount per month I would get 5 qualified valid leads. None of them were valid, wrong numbers, no returned calls, and when I complained they still charged me the monthly fee. For me it was a waste of time and my money was lining their pockets. These companies do not offer to be paid at closing, which I find interesting. If their leads are so good then why should agents pay for them upfront? Why not at closing?

There is no such thing as guaranteed.  These guys have all approached me and the only thing you get is a bunch of tire kickers.

Morris,

tire kickers and bottom feeders is not my particular market and is certainly something that I am concerned about. He was quick to tell me that they had a B+ rating in the Better Business Bureau. I'm with you about the idea of guaranteed… Probably no such thing.

Pamela,

it was comments just like yours that I was most interested in hearing. Promise one thing, but deliver something totally different. I think I'm going to pass on this offer from them. There's 100 ways to spend money and I don't think this needs to be one of them.

Dorian,

I like the way you think… Just pay if there is a closing. If they are so confident in their product they ought to be willing to wait to get paid.
