72 Degrees Year Round, Care for a Swim?

I am so spoiled!  I don’t ever remember a February day when I lived in New York being so warm and beautiful.  Today was in the mid to upper 60’s.  We went to Rainbow Spring State Park in Dunnellon Florida  for a Cracker Weekend fair.
Cracker is an expression that has negative connotations in other areas of the Country, but here in Florida the term Cracker refers to the cracking of the whip to round up horses and cattle from the scrubs.
There was so much going on at the Park today that I will be posting several posts to share some of our 200+ pictures and the fun we had.
One thing that we really got a kick out of being as we were born and raised in New York is this sign:
Just out of curiosity, would you go for a swim here or feed a gator?  The water here is absolutely gorgeous, it is clear and spring fed at a balmy 72 degrees year round.  Believe it or not we actually saw folks swimming.
Gators don't normally come into this area they say because they really like the swampy areas in the rush by the shore.  That's ok, I'm still not going swimming here but the water is absolutely gorgeous!
So for all of you who are dreading this snowless but cold winter up north, eat your heart out as you look at a few more pictures of what you could be enjoying here in Florida.  Just give me a call  and  let me find you a great home here in sunny Florida.

The early bee    gets the best pollen!

It's just a walk in the park Grandpa, but it's the company that matters!

Spring has sprung and the flowers are beginning to show their pretty faces!

What a peaceful view on a warm winter's day!

Well, Miss Sara... it was in the upper 60's here just east of Cleveland, today.  Of course, I was standing in the family room at the time.  Does that count ?

These are such beautiful pictures, Sara.  It has been quite warm all over the country this year BUT my family lives in FL and the last visit last month made it really hard to come home.  ;)  Beautiful weather for sure!

Good morning, Sara.... sixty degree weather is beautiful but we have no snow this year.... I hope that doesn't mean a summer of 100 degrees for us!!!

Carolyn, I had to look at your profile to see whether you were in Cleveland Tennessee or Ohio...60's in Ohio is not bad but I had my shades closed to try and keep it cool, LOL... Are the flowers blooming, maybe the crocus?  Thanks for stopping by and you have a great day today!  BTW it's raining and chilly today but will be in the 80's this week, almost time to plant my garden, my favorite time of year!!!

Leesa,  I find it unthinkable to go back for a visit to NY now that I have been in Florida so long, besides, it's the land of vacation.

Barbara,  I hope you're right, I've been thinking the same thing about the weather here.  The rain and cooler weather today gives me a degree of hope!  Blessings to you my friend!!!

Desperately want to live in Florida. I have no problem swimming in those waters as long as I can clearly see my feet. As far as hot summers, Florida homes, businesses and cars have a secret invention called Air conditioners. Even though New England has been mild, winter is not over....

Very nice, but wouldn't expect less from my bestest sister. I think the lake is beautiful, but when I swim I would prefer not to be the bait. Fill the pool I say.
