Need Another Reason to Buy (or Sell) in Tredyffrin or Easttown Township?

Yesterday's Philadelphia Inquirer reported on area public high schools ranked among the best in the country. Rankings were based on test scores and participation/performance on advanced placement (college level) courses. Conestoga High School received a "gold medal" ranking by U.S. News & World Report for the 2005-2006 year. The school placed 79th out of 18,790 high schools nationwide. Conestoga is located in Berwyn and is in the Tredyffrin-Easttown School District. More information about the school district and each of its schools can be found at www.tesd.net.

Linda.. Exactly where is Tredyffrin, and what is the origin of the name of the town?

I was doing some geneology and that town became important.

Tredyffrin is in suburban Philadelphia (about 20 miles west of the city). It is not far from Valley Forge and King of Prussia. I believe the name is Welsh in origin. Thanks for your interest.

Treddyffrin is a great place to live. I grew up in the area and now live in Paoli. I will never move out of this area and am currently raising my family. The schools in Treddyffrin are wonderful and I enjoyed attending the fine schools. Thanks.

Be careful about putting to much opinions out there in reference to schools so it doesn't come back to bite you from a client or customer one day! I have heard the horror stories about this and other similar issues as we all have in our fair housing classes!
