STAMFORD - Sales Report - November 2007: Better than last 2 years??

By

As you can see in the first chart below, representing the median selling prices in November 2007, 2006 and 2005, we found that:

  • sales in November this year were better than last year and better than 2 years ago.
  • in all types of properties, median selling prices this year were higher than in November2005 and November 2006.
  • only Co-Ops did better in Nov. 2006 than in Nov. 2005.

In the chart below we see the number of units sold. We saw a decrease in terms of units sold this year compared to 2006 and 2005.

Less properties were sold, but those sold produced a Median Selling price higher than those observed in 2006 and 2005. Now, isn't it a sign of a strong market in Stamford?

Great to hear the Stamford market is doing ok.  I'm born and raised in Stamford, moved out four years ago.

Question do you mix up your charts or do you have a set format?

Hi Brian.

Thanks for stopping by.

We got some snow here. I am sure you don't miss it too much.

I am not sure I understand your question about the charts.

What I do is I copy and paste the statistical report from my MLS. Then, I extract the numbers I want to study (COPY) and then PASTE onto tables in Excel. Then in excel, I choose the charts I want to use, depending on what I want to show. I select the table (rows and columns) and Insert a Chart. Excel gives me the option to choose from different types of charts and graphs.

Does it make sense? Am I answering your question?

I started having one blog, but then I realized that I needed to present local specific information in different blosg, so I have one blog for Danbury, another one for Norwalk and this one.

Enjoy your warm winter!

Nestor
