I was actually taken back by what they said. It was pretty easy to come back and say to them that I like to see people succeed, and that I would
hope people would help me when I need it. Too many times we get too possessive only to realize that sharing really is the best way to have cohesion and that in my eyes it's important to put others first. It would be nice to expect the same. People know what is right. Besides, if you give them the tools it does not guarantee that they will use it or take the initiative to learn it.
The same attention is given to potential buyers and sellers. I give them the information they want and need. If I earn their trust and they can see the human emotion part of me then there is a good chance I will get to work with them and shake their hand at closing. I will never forget a Star Power coach named Ray saying to me what he used for his affirmations. he said "Just two Tom Braatz. Before I walk into my office in Canada every morning I tell myself that this will be my best day ever and the I will also lead by Example. Well said; very well said!
