Art, Nature and Life on Cape Cod

One does not have to travel far on Cape Cod to find an art gallery that is full of local art. Painting, sculpture, glass, jewelry and much more are created and sold locally.

What inspires so many? The natural beauty that makes Cape Cod so unique. Building codes, proper zoning and good foresight has kept Cape Cod an artist's destination. It also draws those who may not create the works, but appreciate and collect them.
Most anyone can increase their awareness of Cape Cod's gift. The easiest is to start taking pictures. This will help you see things in a different way. Also, looking at art will help you see more clearly, the shadows, light and details of nature.
The most important part is to be aware of what is around you.  Don't be in such a hurry to change your gaze.  Take your time to truly "see".
This photo was taken out the back door of the condos we are marketing on the Herring River in West Harwich. It was snowing out and nobody was coming to the open house, except this heron. It took some time of being quite still for the bird to approach.

Joe, it sounds like you live in such a lovely area.  Mother Nature is so generous in sharing Her artistry with us.  Your Cape Cod area appears to be more than blessed.
