March 3, 2012 starts the beginning of the Maple Sugar Festival in Cornwall, NY. This is a day of games and crafts with Native American stories around a campfire each weekend through March 25, 2012.
There are special treats, fun recipes and a guided 45 minute walking tour through the forest while you learn how to tap a maple tree to collect syrup.
During this time of year there may be either mud or snow so be sure to wear your boots and dress extra warm! When you return to the farmhouse be ready for a taste test challenge!
Maple products and hot chocolate will be available for purchase in the gift shop. Admission is $12 for adults and $6 for children. For more information call 845-534-5506.
