Doing Anything For A Sale

By
Real Estate Agent with Adcock & Associates Real Estate & Auction

Folks, I've done alot of things in my lifetime but this takes the cake. I went to show a house today that happens to be an in-house listing but not mine & somebody else decided that they wanted to get in the house with a key that didn't work & broke it off in the lock. I called the listing agent & explained the situation, she said do what I have to do. So I did, the window was unlocked in the bedroom so I used a chair & climbed in the window to unlock the door. I called my locksmith to fix the lock & as usual he came running. Where else are you going to find people that will do that on a Sunday afternoon? Needless to say my clients are very interested in purchasing the house, so all is not lost I guess. I do have to buy a new shirt but it will all work out in the end. Have a great night folks. Talk to you tomorrow!

Lisa,  that is funny!  I have a visual right now of you in the window, LOL!

When I was younger and brand new to the business, I helped a couple paint a house that wasn't theirs yet so it would pass the appraiser's requirements.  Totally unacceptable, I'm sure! Now, ten years later, the sellers are still really good friends, and refer business to me as often as possible!  :)

I am sure your are glad the police weren't coming down the street at that moment!  My dad was a locksmith and was changing the locks for a friend who was out of town.  Well, the police saw him fiddling with the door, drew their guns on him and arrested him.  He sat in jail for several hours before they tracked down his friend.

Keep going the extra mile!

I jumped through a window to a friends house once, he had a seriously hurt back and had locked himself out. Unfortunately, he failed to mention the two German Shepherds that were sleeping on the couch! Yikes! Never jumped out a window so fast in my life!!

So, my wisdom for the day: Before climbing thorugh windows, make sure you know what's on the other side! =)
