It is here! I have waited in anticipation and some dread for it to come. Looking outside the window, it is quite lovely as it covers the fir trees with a mantle and fringes the edges of the shore around the lake. Once it comes, I finally settle in with the fact that this is what it is all about when you live in Maine. I have not yet turned on the news to see what challenges it has presented to commuters or local schools. Perhaps a walk on my quiet country road will bring back childhood energy that comes from being close to nature and truly experiencing the moment. Take time to enjoy this special day and be safe in your travels.
