Subject: Ft Collins City Council to vote on uranium mining

ACTION ALERT!

On Tuesday, December 4, the Fort Collins City Council will vote on a resolution opposing Powertech Uranium Corp.'s proposed Centennial/Indian Springs uranium mining project. The southern half of the project would likely be open pit mines, with the southernmost pit being only 11 miles northeast of Old Town Plaza in Fort Collins.

Please contact city council members and/or attend the meeting to provide input on this proposed project. The meeting starts at 6:00 PM. It is unlikely the resolution will be discussed before 8:00 PM, as it is the fourth discussion item on the agenda. The meeting will be held in the council chambers at 300 Laporte Avenue in Fort Collins.

Hope to see you there,
