They has been new clarifications for California Notaries starting Jan. 2008.
1. All CA Notaries whose commission will be renewed, or new commission for a newbie, must submit a 2X2 inch photo to submit with your application.
2. All renewing notaries must submit their fingerprints every 4 years. Before 2008 we only had to have our fingerprints taken once if we renewed on a timely basis.
