Agent, lender, manager and lawyer your real estate investment team

If you look through history at many business ventures you’ll see that a lot of them have been put together by a team. Quite often, Seattle real estate investors start working with one another to increase their profits. If you decide to work on your own you will still have to gather together a team consisting of property managers, lawyers, real estate agents and financial specialists.

Most people start off investing by purchasing a home to rent out or a very small apartment building. This gets their foot in the door while gaining experience. Once this has been accomplished and profits are being made, many investors decide to go to the next level and purchase something larger. At some point the team needs to be formed so that all the technical details and administration are in place to grow the investment business.

Financial institutions

You’re going to be needing more and more financing as your business grows and you will start working closely with a Seattle lending official as your portfolio gets larger. Financing is going to play an important role in your investment strategy and you are going to have to have someone on your team that can give you solid advice.

Property managers

Once you have a couple of Seattle properties you’re going to have to start looking around for property managers. There is no way that you can possibly handle more than two buildings on your own without some help. These managers will already have connections with cleaners, electricians, plumbers, painters etc.

Real estate agent

A  Seattle real estate agent is going to have a role to play on your team. He is going to help you find profitable deals and then he will negotiate the sale for you. You can also ask the agent for advice on your investment strategies throughout the process.

Real estate lawyer

You’ll need a lawyer to help with the final paperwork. They can go over any of the legalities with you so that you know exactly what you are signing when the deal is ready to go through.

Assembling a team is a necessity when it comes to Seattle real estate investing, whether you are teaming up with other investors to make one large purchase are working on your own to build up your portfolio.
