Meme oh my, what am I going to do? Ginger Magoon http://activerain.com/blogs/ginger tagged me and left with me with a case of writers block.....Meme, oh my what am I going to come up with...5 things that most people don't know about me?
1. I hope this isn't cheating. About 4 years ago, I had a listing that had been on the market for two years withtwo other agents when I came along. After my first year, the sellers begged me not to give up. They were sweet, Christian couple. The house was nice but it had an unconventional design. Even after the appropriate price reductions, it languished on the market. Then one weekend, we received multiple offers. The hero, in shining armor, was Ginger Magoon. (Can girls be the heroes?) Last I heard, the buyers were happy. The sellers rode off into the sunset in a motor home. And, Ginger meme'd me. Hmmm. She's still my hero.
2. I have two teenagers. Phillip is 16. He moved to Georgia about a year ago to live with his Dad and that side of the family. Though it makes me sad, I know he is happy because he has actually been able to start on the football team because it is a smaller school.

3. My oldest son is Sean. He is 17. Presently, he spends most of his time filling out college and scholarship/financial aid applications. Last week, he actually got an interview with from Princeton. I am extremely proud of him.
Never in my wildest dreams would I have considered an Ivy League school nor did I ever consider that one of my children would. He is so dedicated and disciplined. Sean has applied for Princeton, Harvard, Stanford, Notre Dame, Penn and t.u. (Texas is his favorite football team.)
4. I am an Aggie, class of 1992. My Dad, an avid Texas fan, corrupted my sons!
5. If the Lord is willing, I hope to be showing cutting horses next fall. My last cutting bred colt, a Color MeSmart son, died tragically as a two year old after being castrated about two years ago. To put salt on the wound, later that year his three year old ¾ brother, who I did not own, won over $70,000 in reined cow horse futurity's. I had owned their mom. Despite the tragedy, the Lord allowed me to see that you don't have to be a multimillionaire to own competitive horses. The timing obviously wasn't right. I've still got hope now that I'm getting over the shock. I loved that colt. Next year maybe? Toby (Color Me Unleashed) is pictured here as a three day old.
If you are interested, check out the National Cutting Horse Association website. The Futurity (the biggest show of the year) Three year cutting horses that have never been shown are competing for over $4 million this year. The futurity runs through December 16th in Fort Worth, Texas. http://www.nchacutting.com/ .
