Tennis in Cary

This past year I renewed my love for playing tennis, and I am thrilled.  Tennis was not even a thought, until one of my very good friends said that as soon as her daughter was in kindergarden, she was hitting the court.  Her plans sparked my interest.  Never playing on a team or a league, I did not know where to begin.  I did have a goal however.  It was to learn to play well enough so that in a year, when my friend was free to hit the court, I could play with her.  Again, not really knowing where to start, I decided to check out the Town of Cary Tennis Center.  Much to my surprise, not only did they have tennis lessons for beginners, but a beginners league.  This was perfect.  I signed up immediately and was put on a team.  We practiced one day a week and played a match another.  Not only did I have a chance to learn how to play better, I made friends.  Well now a year has passed and yes, I am playing tennis with my friend who inspired me.  With a new love for the sport, I am grateful to my friend for sparking my interest.  But I am also amazed that our great town of Cary has such a wonderful facility as the Town of Cary Tennis Center.  I am also amazed that it is a town park.  It is such a beautiful facility with so much to offer.  The circle continues.  This Fall I signed up my husband for the mens beginner league.  Now, he is getting his friends together evenings to play as well.  Cary is a wonderful place to live, work, and play......Tennis!
