Please indulge me a moment while I extend a very big thank you to Mary Lausted,Broker Associate with Keller Williams in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin for 
her assistance to me and my dad. Sally Hanson, Keller Williams Realty,was kind enough to refer me to Mary a few weeks back when my Florida-dwelling dad asked for help to determine what his Wisconsin land – bought at least one million years ago - might be worth because he “knows a guy who wants to buy it.”
It would have been OK if Mary just gave me an idea of what it might be worth and I probably would have accepted it since I know next to nothing about Wisconsin except for its’ delicious cheese. However, she did quite a bit more by searching the court records and inquiring with the local title company to get a better legal description or survey. She then drove to the location in an area I’m sure was not terribly convenient for her and walked the property. And then talked to a number of local patrons in the neighborhood taverns that know of the property and, even collected a few people along the way who would be interested in buying it.
