The Smyrna High School Bulldogs are the defending 2006 5A football champions. Smyrna High takes on Independence High School from Williamson county for the 2007 championship on Saturday at MTSU. Smyrna defeated Bearden last Friday in the semi-final round. The Smyrna Bulldogs will play in the BlueCross Bowl for the second consecutive year. Saturday's championship game is at MTSU's Floyd Stadium and kickoff is at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at Smyrna High with half of the sales being donated to the school. All of the Bulldogs games are exciting and this will be one thriller that you do not want to miss. I'll be there early in my purple and gold. And you don't want to miss the community bonfire and pep rally on Friday, December 7th at 7:00 at Smyrna High to support the team. Remember our school moto: Smyrna High School - Striving for Excellence.
UPDATE: The Smyrna High Bulldogs are AGAIN the state 5A champions for the second year in a row after defeating the Independence High Eagles by a score of 46 to 20 on Saturday. We Are The Champions!
