Hampstead NH has a New Bean in Town!!

By

Bean TowneThere’s a new Bean in town… and everybody’s talking about the new Bean in town.

So I decided to go visit the new bean in town called Bean Towne.

To say it is a coffees shop like none other which Hampstead and surrounding communities has seen before is an understatement.

Admittedly, I have always considered myself a coffee snob…but truly I had no idea.

For months I’ve been reading the cute little signs on Rte. 111 with clever sayings like “Friends don’t let friends dunk” and I’d always chuckle and think there’s a coffee war going on.

I mean for years Dunkin Donuts has had a monopoly on coffee in the area. Hampstead alone has 2 Dunkin Donuts and further down on 111 in Atkinson there is another Dunkin Donuts.

Seeing the signs “Friends don’t let friends dunk”  really cracked me up.

Be sure to watch the video at the end of the post...they actually did a Youtube video while waiting in a local coffee drive thru line!!!

I love it.  Coffee wars!  We have just a couple of Dunkin Donuts in Columbus but I love their coffee.  We can buy it in the grocery stores now.  I had clients who moved from the east coast tell me she was a Dunkin Donuts drinker and he liked Starbucks.  We have Starbucks everywhere and some great independents, smaller local. Is Bean Towne a chain or locally owned, independent?

Goodness.  What happened to my brain.  I saw "bean" and immediately thought of "baked beans".

I am a coffee adict.  Love the stuff.

Yum! I love good coffee! That's one thing I do spoil myself with. I would never even think about dunking anything in a good cup of java!

Monika I am far from being a coffee snob.  Mine comes out of a jar, a little water and microwaved for about 2 minutes.  I can't see paying over $3.00 for flavored hot water ........ LOL

My mother loves instant coffee..

I got to talk to Bob today.  He wondered what I saw, whether I saw it on other blogs.  He left me a message that it was not the same bug... ???  the good news is it is gone and hopefully it does not come back on anybodies blog.

Monika -- I have been a coffee snob for many years.  It all started with coffee wars in San Francisco (when I lived there).  It was a war between Peet's coffee - my personal favoriate and Starbucks -- Now I am seeing Peets coffee here in the supermarkets in New Hampshire!  I am soooo excited.  If you don't have Peets in your area -- let me know -- you will LOVE it!

LOL...Joan what is a Foodee???

We grind our own beans very morning as well but have never tried a French press.

Joan W....I've never heard of Peets but I'll keep my eyes open for it. Nothing wrong with being a coffee snob at all. :)
