Dear Lord, if only there could be more time.

Today it is with great sadness that I write this blog. I found out yesterday that my Aunt was told that she has cancer and they gave her 2 weeks to 2 months to live. She had been having abdominal pain and she went to her doctor, they did endoscopy and colonoscopy and everything looked fine.  A few days later the abdominal pain was so bad she went to the Emergency Room and it was during a cat scan that they found the tumors, in her lungs, her liver and her pancreas.

Plans are being made for my parents to visit her (she is out of state) to say their good byes.  It is such a sad experience. The only good part is that she has a few days to say goodbye.

We deeply hope for a cure for cancer for the many sufferers.

My thought that I wanted to share was don't let this day pass you by, live like it could beyour last day!  Love without judgement and make the most of your life because you never know when it could be your last day.  Life is short, share your gifts, talents and love with everyone in your life!

Cynthia -  Your post hits so close to home as I have lost 2 sisters in their 40's to cancer, my wife is a survivor and both my in-laws are dealing with the cancer beast now.  It seems each family has this monster in the family.  I pray for peace and comfort for your Aunt and the entire family.  May her pain be little and her faith be strong.  Indeed you're right, we must live each day to the fullest and make each day a great one.

John,

Cancer is an awful thing and it takes way too many people when they are much too young to go.  Thank you for you wishes for my Aunt.  My parents just boarded a plane moments ago to go and be with her.  Good luck with your journeys, wishing you and your family good health.

Hi Cynthia,

I am so sorry to hear about your aunt and I am sure your entire family is extremely upset but at least they have a short time to say their good-byes. My prayers are with you all tonight.

Cancer is such a terrible disease and it has stricken all walks of life; young to old, all races, humans and animals. I pray they find a cure soon so more can survive. I do believe more survive than before but hopefully in my lifetime they will find the cure and Alzheimer's too. That one scares me. I have a 54 yr friend who has MS or MD as I cannot ever remember which but she cannot walk anymore. I hope they find the cure for that one too soon.
