Using video in your business is something to give consideration to! It helps you to stand out above your competition. It lets a consumer "get to know you" very well. You stand out as the expert in their eyes. They like what they see. When it comes time to hire an expert for services that they need, who will they call?
Video can be a little intimidating on the production side of the equation for many (especially when you first start). I have now begun to outline my next online course to help anybody that wants to get over the initial hurdles of getting your video out there for the world to see. I have been watching LOTS of videos lately and taking lots of notes. I see what works great, what doesn't work that well, what are the common mistakes made. I'm building a syllabus around the basic techniques that will help produce quality and informative videos. We'll get into how to use the various video editing apps to make your work stand out! The course will look at creating a YouTube channel that you will be proud of. We'll cover how to leverage the SEO benefits of video also.
Meanwhile, I need your input as I build my class. I'd like to get YOUR input. What has been your experience so far with video? What camera are you using (and would you recommend it or not?) And other questions that you see below. Since I'm immersing myself in the "video watching" mode right now and taking notes... If you want me to include your video in my watch queue, give me the URL. And if you want me to email you a short report with my observations and constructive ideas, you can choose that option. If you want email notification when the course is ready, you can also indicate that (expected readiness early April)
While you wait for my next course, have you seen that my first online course is on and ready for anybody interested. It is called Graphics for Bloggers and deals with making your blog posts stand out! I learned a lot on creating an online course and I'm ready to go for the second one now!
