My Personal Note:
I have been close friends with the family that owns this home for a long time. I remember when they first found it, and driving out with them to take a look. It was awesome! I've spent a lot of time at this house too. We referred to it as Camp Candlewick, a name my friend (the owner) came up with because of all the fun everyone always had there. Of the many things I really like about this home, the quiet neighborhood, backyard, and lake are among my favorites.
You'll come home from a busy day, had just been sitting in traffic, and instead of hearing your next door neighbors television, you'll enjoy peace and quiet, just like you're "up north". And when you go take a look yourself, you'll notice that the lake isn't lined with houses. Most homes are set way back, and other lakefront pieces of land are privately owned so the nature is preserved.
This is not an all-sports lake, but really... who wants a traffic jam (of loud boats) in their backyard anyway? This home is a special place for those who appreciate nature. Now I'm not a fisherman (although I do give it a try every year), but one thing I love about Lake Judah, is that even I can catch fish! You can catch 'em from the shore, on your boat, and just about anywhere on Lake Judah. The ice fishing is fantastic too!
This beautiful, personal nature reserve is a mere minutes away from all the shopping, business, and events you'll ever want. It is truly a rare opportunity to have it all - be close to everyone, yet live quietly "up north". And you'll be amazed at all the wildlife you'll discover, from swan families, to cranes, even an occassional fox. If you have a young boy, I'm certain he'll bring home a few turtles to gross mom and his sister out.
I'll miss my days at Camp Candlewick, but you will bring it even more wonderful memories of your own. It's a good life at Camp Candlewick. Enjoy!
