While print media is a rapidly fading choice for most real estate marketing, there are still times when a high-quality, full color magazine is a great choice. And you can publish one yourself - it's cheap, easy and great fun!
A couple of years ago, HP began a new publication service called MagCloud, which allows you to print a high-quality magazine-type publication on good paper stock, from a .pdf file that you design and produce, on any subject you want. They provide choices in binding and distribution, and there is no minimum size (although publications need to be sized in any multiple of four pages) and no minimum production run - you can do 1 or 1,000. And the best part is the pricing - $.20 per page!
We've used MagCloud in a variety of ways - to make a 4-page color flyer for a property or a very nice looking Buyer's Guide for a community or neighborhood. But the most fun I've had with it is as an easy-to-use, affordable vanity press for publishing compilations of some of my photography, from trips to animal pictures.
And it gets even better - You can offer your publications for sale. You can set your own price and MagCloud will publicize your work, distribute it, and collect your proceeds for you - they only keep the $.20 per page cost, and anything you charge beyond that is your profit.
If you'd like to take a look at some of the photo art magazines I've published, click on the picture below to go to my publications page on MagCloud. You can then click on and browse through any of the magazines.
