Last night, we assisting in the Rolling for Wishes hosted by Karla Kjellin-Elder and Jeff Elder ofOrange. Five years ago, in lieu of donating directly to Make-A-Wish, the Elders decided to sponsor an event. Their sponsorship would raise awareness and funds, allow 100% of the proceeds to go to the worthy charity – and be fun! Karla gathered a committee, and Rolling for Wishes was born. The fun-loving committee includes Kathie Consalvi, Kim Haman, Bridget Holl, Andie Mills, Melissa Murphy, Gayle Pratt, Jackie Stewart, Birgit Nemits and Jody Theissen. The first event was held in a gymnasium. It was so enjoyable - and such a success! - that Karla and her committee have continued Rolling for Wishes, growing in attendance and dollars each year. The themes have ranged from Mardi Gras toMexico. This year’s event will be held in the magnificent Santiago Canyon Estate. The opulent surroundings and gorgeous views of the canyon will provide a rich backdrop for the Casablanca-themed evening. The 'Rolling for Wishes V' Casino Night to benefit Make-A-Wish Foundation of Orange County and the Inland Empire will be held Saturday, March 3 at theSantiagoCanyonMansion. The incredible setting and canyon views will provide the backdrop for a black-white-silver 'Casablanca' theme. The fun evening will include dinner, casino action, raffles and games, plus silent and live auctions.
Lots of fun for the attendees and a great benefit for Make A Wish. People walked away with prizes and gifts. One lucky guy took away a vacation home for 4 days and 3 nights in Lake Tahoe on theLakewhich was donated by a generous benefactor. The location which was a fantastic estate where we held the Casa Blanca Casino Night was a large guest home with an entertainment Living room, dining room Great room so large it was able to hold 300 people
Enjoying themselves and happily helping to raise money for the Make A Wish Foundation.
