JILL SACKLER - LONG ISLAND'S SOUTH SHORE REAL ESTATE AGENT - SIGNATURE VIDEO

To be on the cutting edge of sales and marketing, these days, you need to appear on video.

If you're reluctant to try, believe me, I hear you.

I was on Take 47 before I finally started remembering my lines. Channeling the comedic prowess of the ladies of The View (huge fan!)  did absolutely nothing for my delivery.

For your amusement, I also included some bloopers.

I, now, have renewed appreciation for anyone who makes a living in the entertainment industry. It's always so much harder than you think it's going to be.

Belinda - You definitely should. I put off doing mine as long as I possibly could but, I suppose it's a good thing, if that's what it takes these days.

Ellen - Great. Then can I get a hairstylist and makeup artist please?

Thanks, Cynthia - We're always so much harder on ourselves than everybody else. If I can get a better take, I'm not above switching it out.

Richard - Thank you. I like the Bloopers, too. I finally relaxed enough to enjoy myself.

I needed to see the bloopers... been a long day!!!! you did a great job.. Funny, until I heard your voice on the video, I had not imagined your New York accent.. :) I guess we all assume everyone sounds like we do until we hear differently.. I sound very southern, especially compared to you.. LOL>.. :)

Hope you are having a great week

Jill, very well done.  And, I got to hear your great voice again.  The bloopers were funny, too.  I can't wait to hear about your first sale from this effort.  I know it will be soon.  You did a great job!

I agree with Richard, (Surprise surprise, I ususally do) your blooper video really shows us your personality and helped me connect to you. Loved it. I realize you can't use it as a signature video, but I loved the interjection of your personalty. It will be fun to see more of you in upcoming videos. Nice job. :)

Jill, that's a great video. It lets prospective clients learn a little about you before meeting you. The bloopers were great, too.

Eric - It's very kind of you, thanks.

Atta girl Jill, good for you.  I liked both the bloopers and non-bloopers.  I haven't done a video yet, but I know I probably should.  Did you know teachers make great Realtors?

Thanks so much, Lloyd. I suppose it's our ability to begin with a foundation of prior knowledge and expand upon it, take the process one step at a time, listen well, answer questions, sort through inconsistencies and emerge with clearly defined options.

Jill:  First of all... I just LOVE your New Yawk accent.  It is adorable.  (I think you may already know that I am from Cleveland, so I appreciate it.)

I didn't know, or perhaps did not remember that you were an elementary school teacher in your previous life.  So was I.  I spent nine years teaching in the seventh and eighth grades in the Cleveland Catholic Schools.  Small woild... LOL.

In your video you mentioned that you used to work for the IRS in the fraud detection department.  Gosh... I am not sure if knowing that about anybody would cause me to call them, or if it would chase me away.

I liked your video, but I just loved your Blooper video.  The first video did a nice job introducing the "professional" Jill Sackler.  BUT... the Blooper video... all thirty-one seconds of it... really did a great job in introducing the real you.  In the blooper video, your personality just jumps out and HUGS people... or at least it did me.

I think it does a great job of letting folks meet someone they would love to work with.  Is any of this making any sense ??

I love The View, as well.  Perhaps one day when the redhead... what's'er'name... is out sick, mebbe you could fill in for her.  I bet you'd do just great.

Have a wonderful Sunday.

Hi Jill: Karen Ann^^^ did it for me. I so adore the NY accent. Your variegated background certainly gives you an edge to tackle difficult and unique real estate transaction and processes. In the blooper video, we see Jill's light and funny moments. Thank you for making me ponder on this task.

The audience have to deal with a different accent though.:0

Jill,  I loved your video.  I had to laugh because I, too, was raised in Forest Hills and we moved from Oceanside to Boca 17 years ago.  Talk about a small world!

Hi Karen Anne - first of all, thanks for subscribing to my blog. I appreciate all my subscribers. I did, indeed, remember that you taught Catholic school because from, time to time, you make reference to those years. Good times, right? When I first became a teacher, I thought I'd be in the system for the next 30 years but my life went in a different direction. Although I remember it as an extraordinarily peaceful time, I only taught for 5 years. First, my husband and I moved really far from my job in NYC (his idea) and then, after a few more years, I found myself home with 3 little children. It was difficult to work anywhere at all.

When the time came for me to go back to work, I applied to the IRS, as it was literally a 4 minute drive from my house. I spent the next 8 years there. My best days were spent putting together service-wide celebrations for people/places/dates of significance. Until I worked for Diversity Awareness, I didn't even know I had that skill.

Now, once again, after yet another move, I'm 1 hour closer to the city than I was for the last 20 years, and it was time for a change in employment, That's when real estate found me and I love the flexibility.

Joy Behar is the redhead on The View. I appreciate the vote of confidence but in front of a lot of people and certainly on camera, I'd be too terrified to speak. Even though, everyone says you can't be shy in real estate, there I go again, breaking all the rules. Thanks for all your kind words. I enjoy your posts immensely.

Hi Maria - I understand your thought process. Getting in front of a camera brings up all sorts of insecurities that you then have to deal with. Jump in with both feet and let the chips fall where they may. My varied background allows me to see things from the different perspectives and is definitely a plus.

Elyse - What a small world. I grew up in Forest Hills and went to FHHS. Did you? I actually pulled out my yearbook and looked for your name but found an Evelyn Berman. Do you have a sister?

Jill... I just love it when we tell long stories about ourselves.  It is great to get to know each other better.  And as far as my subscribing to your blog... heck, I thought I had already done that way back in January of 2011... when I added you as an Associate.

Ahhh... the joys of growing old, and not only losing your memory, but losing your mind, as well.  Have a great week !

Jill - I do not want to steal Karen Anne's comment;I agree with what she wrote.

Your first video is professional which is, to an extent, a synonym of boring (LOL). Between the two of them the second wins hands down.

I think you could play with the second and create an excellent video based on it, or play part from one and part fromt the other... There are great opportunites.

try to break your "serious" one with laughter

I liked that you did not get scared to put two so different together, that;s why I am saying you could make one making a contrast between you official and you so human and funny...

Gee, I would dream of making these bloopers, but I am afraid I am too shy (and how the heck I ended up in real estate?)

Jon, I'm incllined to agree with you but I have no idea how I would go about combining the two at this moment. I'm going to have to give that some thought.

Thanks for your honest opinion.

Jill - a simple way could be using your blooper thing and then add just a very short "official" part. Would work great. Will show the personality, but then outline what you do and where, and how to contact you.

Could be a winner
